Far East Taco Grille

Great food with very bold flavors. I tried the 3 taco combo and I loved that you can try more than one protein then top it off with a variety of different sauce options as well as topping combinations, which you can mix and match as you please.

Loved the fajitas. I had the grilled chicken the Mexican way. Was not missing anything,.was full meat and stuffing.

Great food, but understaffed. Waited entirely too long for a taco. The young lady taking orders could be friendlier.. i.e. smile, thanks for coming, have a nice day....just the normal stuff people say to show appreciation for patronizing their business

Amazing! Had just the tacos but WOW! Staying near by will hopefully be back at least one more time. Can't recommend enough

This place was pretty great. I really like the decor. The amazing selection of sauces for the tacos was pretty great also. The quantity they gave could have been better. The customer service was 8/10

Ordered the burrito it was bigger than expected and was quite flavorful. I also got a piece of pecan pie they had.... Everything was great

WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?! This place used to be amazing, then last month made some changes and it is barely mediocre now. A true disappointment, I used to order three times a week, but there are so many better options if they don't change back. Ugh genuinely such a bummer!

Nice little gourmet taco place. I like the options it has as far as toppings, sauces, combinations etc. Never fails.Price can be eh sometimes, but its definitely a good TREAT YO SELF. You an order online and pick up. You have to pay for extra sauce which can be annoying when sometimes you feel like there wasn't enough sauce on it to be with. Definitely enjoy this place-not to far from H street.Bring back mushroom tacos!

Hit or miss apparently. First burrito was great, second one is mostly stale rice, and with none of the refried beans I paid extra for. Whoever was making burritos Monday (10/14/2019) night before closing really phoned it in.

Ordered the fries and a steak rice bowl. Had my food delivered. Fries were hot and delish but the steak rice bowl was cold and questionable. I'm just not sure what happened to the steak.

This place is really good. They have many combinations and sauces as well as toppings to choose from. It's a but pricey for 3 tacos without rice and beans but the quality and presentation is great

Tidy dive with excellent food. The lowbrow graffiti on the walls is a nice touch, and is your first taste of Far East's MO: do one thing, cheaply and awesomely. The food follows the same logic: a few cheap ingredients assembled creatively and cooked to perfection. We will definitely return!

UPDATE 1/4/20: dropping a star. Here’s why:Very significant decline in quality and volume of food since our last two experiences. We have ordered food from here three times, all delivered through Yelp (i.e. grub hub). Really disappointing because it was one of our favorite places. Quantity: There used to be two egg rolls per order. Now one. And the one we received was noticeably less stuffed with food.Quality: Everything we ordered was of lower quality than the past two times. The fried egg roll was soft and chewy. The pork belly was so hard to chew i gave most of it to our dog. Both orders of tacos were slightly cold when they arrived.

This place is absolutely ridiculous in the best way possible. I get the shrimp burrito mango fiesta style with pineapple and mango salsa...wow blows my mind everytime. Southwest egg rolls are also off the hook.

Get the fries loaded with chicken. This is the only location that has it. It looks like a bit much to tackle but I promise it's worth every bite.The tacos here are also to die for! Literally some of the best tacos on this side of town. If you eat inside you get to a feel for the neighborhood. It's a dope spot at any time of the day.

Amazing taco joint. It's like a food truck parked in a nice little building. Staff was very friendly and the food was incredible! Prices were reasonable. Being from out of town I would highly recommend and I would find this place again on another visit!

As of right now, this is my favorite carryout taco spot. The mango salso with the mango habanero sauce is my favorite combo.

Pick up was fast and safe, and the grilled shrimp tacos, with the sweet sauce and a small amount of bell peppers, onions, and sour cream yummy.

They changed their menu a bit but the flavors are to die for. The menu can be overwhelming but take your time and go back to try more.

Absolutely love this place! I once ate here 3 times in one week. Great prices for authentic taste and quality food. Made to order, fresh and hot tacos. I love to get fish and shrimp tacos. I always try a new combination of salsas, toppings, and sauces. Wait time can vary. Always worthwhile though!

Honestly your local elementary school has better tasting tacos. And for 10$, much cheaper at that too.

I found this place based on reviews when I was in town on business. A great and inventive menu. Since I couldn't eat everything on the menu in one sitting (a personal shortcoming I think) I took pictures of the creative menu combinations so that I could try some of them at home, or better yet, pre-plan my attack before my next visit. Great bites!

great tortilla. It was soft and crunchy. The chicken was cooked good, and corn and pico were both good. All ingredients were good, but it did not blend well. You could taste each ingredient individually. It lacked the sauce the blend them together.

I used to LOVE this place. I mean I couldn't walk past it without going in and ordering something. Out of the blue, they changed in the middle of a day and the whole redesign is awful. Smaller portions for the same price, less flavor, feels much more commercialized. What a disappointment, it went from an irresistible place to one I'll never return to again. I can't comprehend why they would make these changes...

The place to go for authentic Mexican Food

Phenomenal authentic Mexican cuisine!! Better than District Taco! Wonderful variety of proteins, sauces, and styles to choose from, including flour and corn tortillas. Preparation was fast & presentation was great, not to mention SUPER YUMMY! We will return!

Hoping I visited on an off day when their normal cooks weren’t in or something else was awry. When the 15th St location was open I gave this place 5 stars. The typical lively flavors that made this place delicious were completely lacking in my last visit. For example, plain sour cream instead of lime cream sauce. I still recommend trying it because it was hopefully an off day for the kitchen...?

Best satisfying, fulfilling, flavorful taco bowls for a reasonable price. Anytime I'm in DC it's become a go-to place. Cannot beat the size portions for the price.

If you need a break from your standard taco, try Far East Taco Grill. It's Korean and Mexican fusion. In concept, it's set up like a fast casual restaurant where you pick between a bowl, burrito, etc. and then move to picking a meat, toppings, dressings, etc.Their tacos are $2.50 or so and not small so if you need a snack, go with that.The bowls are really good too and make you feel like you're eating something slightly more healthy.Kimchi fries- stay away. It sound good, but are too much.Always pick the bulgogi or spicy pork for the meat!
